Routr vs paper and a whiteboard

The short answer

Routr keeps every 5v5 play you draw editable on your iPhone and iPad. Start from twelve plays with reads, watch them run against a defense, and print clean wristbands for the whole team. Keep the whiteboard for the huddle.

Draw it once, edit it any time

A play on paper gets smudged, lost or redrawn every season. In Routr, it stays editable. Move players, choose routes or draw your own, then drag any point to reshape it. Pinch to zoom, and undo up to fifty steps.

Give the play a number, put it in a folder and search for it later. Pin this week’s calls in Game Day so they are together when you reach the sideline. There is no account to set up.

Start with twelve plays and their reads

Routr comes with twelve template plays. Each shows the routes at set depths, the quarterback’s read order and the coverage it beats. Choose Use This Play to copy one into your playbook and change it for your team.

Show your players the play moving

A whiteboard shows where routes go. Routr Pro shows them happening. Line up Cover 0 to Cover 4, man or zone, and watch Mesh Drive run with X and Z crossing at different depths. Pause and ask your quarterback which receiver has space.

Pro exports QB and player wristband cards at real band sizes, call sheets and PDF pages, all from the same plays. Change a route and print again, and every card carries the same play number. The wristband guide walks you through the fit check.

Send a folder to your assistant by AirDrop, Messages or Mail with Pro. They open it free in Routr and get every play.

Keep the board for the huddle

A whiteboard is still the quickest way to explain one adjustment to the whole team. Use it for that. Then keep the play itself in Routr: try Center Pivot on the board, then save the edited route and read in your playbook. Your first five plays are free; compare Free and Pro.
